The story of Fábrica Coelho began with a simple dream: to transform homemade recipes into products that could bring joy and quality to the tables of thousands of families. In July 1960, in the city of Sobral, Ceará, José Hélio Barreto de Arruda Coelho took the courageous step of expanding his bakery, Padaria Coelho, which was already well-known and beloved in the region.

What started in a small shed, with a wood-fired oven and a lot of manual labor, was much more than a business—it was a family mission. Every biscuit, every pasta, was made with the same care and attention to detail that one would put into cooking for their own family. This commitment to quality has never changed.

Over the years, demand grew. Coelho products won over hearts and palates not only in Sobral but throughout the entire Northeast region. The small artisanal operation needed to transform into a modern industry, but without ever losing its essence: authentic flavor, perfect texture, and non-negotiable quality.

Today, with headquarters in Massapê-CE and a modern distribution center in Caucaia, Fábrica Coelho is much more than a factory of biscuits, pasta, and snacks.

We are guardians of a tradition spanning over six decades, combining traditional methods with cutting-edge technology to deliver products that maintain the taste of childhood, but with the consistency and safety that the modern market demands.
